Harnessing Functional Genomics in Cancer Research: Opportunities for Diagnosis and Treatment

Hosted by the NUST | Supported by ICGEB | Endorsed by ASCO and ASLM

Welcome to the “Harnessing Functional Genomics in Cancer Research: Opportunities for Diagnosis and Treatment” conference, hosted by the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST). The conference is supported by the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) and endorsed by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) "ASCO® is a registered trademark of the American Society of Clinical Oncology®. Used with permission. This is not an ASCO sponsored event." and African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM).

This conference will offer an opportunity to learn and keep abreast with the rapidly evolving area of cancer genomics. It will cover several topics on functional genomics in cancer and the advancement of translation of scientific results to clinical impact. This inaugural event brings together global experts, researchers, clinicians, biotech industry professionals, and students to explore the cutting-edge research of cancer genomics. Join us from 24–26 September 2025 at the Hilton Hotel, Windhoek, Namibia.

Pre-conference sessions will take place at the Namibia University of Science and Technology, High Tech Transfer Plaza Select (HTTPS) building on the 23rd of September this will include two hand-on early career scientist training in Bioinformatics and Proteomics, and the Vice Chancellor's Public lecture which will be a CPD Event.
