Dr. Jean Claudien Hategekimana is a consultant anatomical pathologist with nearly a decade of experience in diagnostic pathology and medical education. He completed his medical training at the University of Rwanda and specialized in anatomical pathology. He currently practices at the Namibia Institute of Pathology, where he is actively involved in diagnostic histopathology and multidisciplinary clinical collaboration.
Dr. Hategekimana has a strong interest in skin and renal pathology, oncologic pathology, and the application of molecular techniques in cancer diagnosis. He is committed to patient-centred pathology and an integrated diagnostic approach that emphasizes clinicopathological correlation. He also plays an active role in mentoring laboratory technologist and medical students.
His current focus is on cancer biomarkers and their role in precision oncology, an area in which he continues to build both academic and clinical expertise
